listenin' to this interview right now
Anyone in here feel like Gone is top 5 Ye? Perfect closer to the album imo, Ye's final verse
Love this album so much
Haven't listened to it in months but I should give it a relisten
Gone is a top 10 Ye song of all time though. That breakdown after Consequence's verse is beautiful
Call me crazy, but from:
The sample
The flip
Ye's verses
Cam's verse & using the sample to finish some of his bars
Consequnce's verse & using the word/sound "gone" in each bar
The way the beat switches subtly for both their verses to match their content (and Ye's final verse)
The musical solo within the song
I would argue this is Ye's best song. At least its my favorite
And this is his best album imo
I sent Hey Mama to my mom on Mother's Day.
I could tell she thru her text back.

One of Ye's most slept on tracks, imo.

Being a youngin I discovered Curtis Mayfield through samples Ye used from his music. Curtis is now one of my fav albums ever, Move on Up is in my top 10 of all time fav songs. Touch The Sky is a great song too
