Being great at marketing/building hype is one thing. Teasing and antagonizing your fan base is another.

He could have announced a date (further down the road), worked the album hype, hosted the live listening sessions, worked the interview circuit (everyone hangs in Ye sound bytes) all with ample time to line up his guests/collaborations and record….all without pissing anyone off.

One thing I’ve noticed that’s been overlooked throughout this entire album rollout……How does Def Jam feel about this? I can’t imagine they are paying for all the stadium accommodations for Ye and his entourage. Imagine being a label and having to eat sh*t cause your biggest artist is out of his mind.

That was crazy to me because Cyhi is soooo fukking talented man. I want to see dude win. I went to high school with him and I remember him rapping in class and shyt lol. Dude had the hunger and talent back then.


I just don’t see how someone with the talent and industry connects like Cyhi can’t get a proper deal. Its absurd!

I genuinely not invested either way (like I might not even listen to the album) but as an outside observer I can understand why this would be more frustrating than Detox. Detox never had an actual release date. I understand anyone getting more annoyed when there's definitive date that keeps getting changed.
