Because as much as I don't fw Kanye since the Trump/slavery was a choice fukkery, to claim hiphop would've been better without pre 2011 Kanye is nonsense.

fukk Kanye and anything he says these days, but also he's at least kinda right on this one. As somewhat of a Tyler fan myself who has listened a few times to most of Tyler's albums, Tyler really doesnt make very memorable or good songs. I'd say probably 'Earthquake' and 'Dogtooth' were memorable good songs I can think of now but then uhhhh I'd probably have to go all the way back to like 'Yonkers' to think of another song of his that I actually thought was good or actually that memorable. Tyler has tons of other songs that I remember and can name and describe em and I listen to em but I wouldnt particularly call them good or great songs.
Like Ye says here, Tyler checks a lot of boxes as a good artist, his creativity and visuals are def above and beyond maaaany other artists, his curation and crafting of a whole album and an experience for each album or performance is far beyond his skill at making any great or truly memorable songs or verses. For such a remarkably talented album artist, his individual songs hardly ever stand out on their own very well. Just a few times really.
