I’ve been thinking he was overrated since highschool. He kind of won me over with 808s and Mbdtf but damn is he ever proving me right. Not only is his music horrible, he’s absolutely the worst person in Black America right now.

He had produced some nice beats early in his career, and some of his songs were dope.

I just don't see the genius. He's simply not in the same vein as the street-style rappers we were accustomed to, and that set him apart.

But I listened to all of his albums, and I'm not hearing genius. He has some charisma on track, but he is not a great writer. How much of his material has he written, anyway?

I, frankly, feel Kanye's personality is what intrigued people, and because he did have talent, people propped up him like they do most intriguing personalities. Not saying his music is wack, but I just never heard that spark of genius everybody else heard.

I can understand Kanye not being someone's cup of tea. Some people like 'street rap', and Kanye is not that type of rapper. I noticed you called him a cornball, and that is why I said what I said.

I'm the type of person that would buy Kanye's album. I'm not street, and never have been. His content didn't turn me off. So, when I'm saying he's overrated, imo, it means a lot more, because I'm actually the type of person that would listen to an artist like Kanye.
