I agree...I'd love to see a president that's not scared of Israel.

But it's not just about the media, she doesn't want to lose donor money (keep in mind AIPAC is the most powerful and richest lobby) or give Republicans a talking point so they can claim she supports Hamas or is antisemetic or some shyt. It's dumb but I can understand not wanting to take that type of chance this close to the election.

Maybe it's wishful thinking but I'd like to think (assuming Kamala wins) she'll be more real about it after the election is over.

It is wishful thinking.

What incentive does she has to pivot sharply on Israel once the election is over?

Also, since we've accepted that she can't go below surface level, if she does win, a lot of foreign policy will be delegated to her appointees. Guess which side of the fence most of them sit at?

This is not a pro trump thread
Then what was your goal making this thread? Anything but constant drum beat of the unique evil and threat trump poses to black people and anyone non white is crucial, this is bothsides bs and i will call you out on it, trump says immigrants are inherently criminal because of their genetics, where is your thread and outrage on that? stop the nonsense

Her husband is Jewish, I don't it's lack of criticism out of fear

Almost every politician is afraid to cross AIPAC, I don't think having a Jewish husband really matters.

It is wishful thinking.

What incentive does she has to pivot sharply on Israel once the election is over?

Because that's what her base wants?

Also, can't there just be a moral incentive? I know we're all cynics but it's possible to take a position because that's how you feel about it.

He's a retard. So are others who automatically cast valid Kamala criticism as Trump propaganda.

She's a living human being so she is automatically better than Trump. Doesn't mean she isn't mid.
It's actually crazy that these weirdos can't even think about scrutinizing her "because Trump."

No shyt. Not being Trump is the bare minimum. What next? Why are we cool with co-signing wholesale killing of kids?
Since when are Democrats about boasting our lethality on the world stage?
Why are we cool with the Democratic party taking being against capital punishment on the party platform?
Why is it so tough to ask a presidential candidate to not speak in riddles and word salads? Trump sounds like a fukking retard, is it that hard to put together a coherent sentence a la Obama?

there's more to this shyt than "but Trump". Fukk Trump, what the fukk will you do for Americans here and abroad. Kamala is interviewing for a job, America needs to know she's not just better than Trump, but beyond excellent. As a black woman, she should understand this better than anyone.

She and others have demonstrated they don't give a fukk. Shutting out that side at tje DNC, lip service towards "a ceasefire" while providing concrete support towards 1 side...

I am extremely cynical, yes. When was the last time we've seen a politician pivot sharply post election?

Is it impossible? No, but I'm not betting a dollar on it

She's not going to criticize biden who's currently president lol
Spiro Agnew and John C. Calhoun both criticized incumbents.

if there weren't a precedent, you guys might have a point. if Trump didn't set several precedents, that would work.

If you want to beat a so-called existential threat, you have to do things outside the box.

She's just too afraid to criticize Israel/Netanyahu before the election.

It sucks and it shouldn't be that way, but I can understand not wanting to piss off donors a month out. Hopefully if/when she wins things change.
Politicians typically do not buck against the system that elected them. Beyond the fact Kamala is a typical corporate democrat who won't come to conflict with the donors, I'm actually doubting her political talent.

Let alone command a room, she can't speak fluently when she's lobbed semi hard questions and has to resort to canned talking points.
