Thank you and @Call Me James for the info. I don't trust politicians in general and I'm not always as informed as I probably should be, so I had to ask because a lot of politicians are jumping on the bandwagon after Bernie made certain ideas popular.

My cousin is a public defender and he told me he has to deal with these types of black women everyday. They don’t care about the community. All they care about is their conviction rate and climbing the career ladder. He told me has more disdain for these types than the racist white prosecutors he has to fight everyday.

The question isn't what they run on it's what they are really about. It's easy to jump on board with an idea once it's popular but do you believe in those ideas enough to fight for them when powerful people push back against them. Are you willing to tax those powerful people to pay for those ideas. So far the only thing she's mentioned about taxes is cutting them for the middle class. That sounds good but if you leave the cuts for the rich in place then where is the revenue for your ideas coming from?

I'm not a fan of her middle class tax cut design because it encourages people to take on low paying jobs to qualify for it (like middleclass tax cut in theory but the model matters). But that's just a personal quirk. I also don't know how much I really trust her to hold banks or wall street accountable, I'm not impressed at all by her record on that topic as AG and she's already been in contact with Wall Street donors (Gillebrand, Brown and Booker were also named and this is pretty light but past red flags plus this sort of thing makes me skeptical). Her real problem for me is the AG position in Cali and what she did in terms of criminal justice. I'm not about to go all Nap and try to inundate this thread with negativity via tweets and multiple articles. Just in terms of where skepticism towards her begins, those are the places to look. I do think she caught the winds changing and jumped on quickly (which might mean she was just doing what she felt she had to do prior) and I like that she's had strong performances on committees. I wouldn't be stressed about her on a debate stage with Trump. Of the more center-left candidates, she's solid for sure. But there are others I'd have more faith in passing legislation that's in my lane.

I have read through the thread and I know her record as a prosecutor doesn't line up with her statements on criminal justice reform. Are there more contradictions that you can point out?

When you say she's corrupt are you referring to the campaign contributions she received from Steve Mnuchin after declining to prosecute him, her getting a job due to her affair or something else that I missed?
