they forget that obama didn't start off as the favored candidate of black folks. the support started building as the campaign went on. if he had a white wife (on top of him being half-white, so his kids would be 3/4 white) his support among black folks would have never got off the ground like it did. there would be no incentive to kick the clinton machine to the curb at that point.
