First, fukk the NFL.

Also NFL teams must be feeling heated, isn't Nike one of their partners? They went all out in support for Kaep. :lupe:

I'm happy for Kaep to get paid so he can continue his fight vs the NFL, end of the day everyone needs to pay their bills. The collusion between owners and him not getting a team is some bs. He's also donated a lot of money and I'm sure he'll continue to do so. :banderas:

We'll see how it pans out. Time for that court shyt vs NFL. :youngsabo:

You know what I mean :francis: Athlete activist

Thats really a watering down of Ali just to compare him to Kapernick then :francis:

Actually he does belong with Ali.
BOTH LEFT THEIR PROFESSION BECAUSE OF THEIR BELIEFS.

BOTH SPECIFICALLY STATED BLACK LIBERATION AS THERE GOAL.

I MEAN WHAT DO YOU WANT KAEP TO HAVE BEAN PIE IN HIS HAND AND A BOWTIE?

Kapernick didnt "leave" his profession though. Ali did :coffee:

Not only that but Ali's idea of black liberation was separation from those he claimed were oppressing him. Kapernick's was joining hands with those he says are oppressing him. Two different things really...

Lol look at the fukkery

We went from talking about policy brutality to freedom of speech to national anthem to NFL ratings to Nike marketing campaigns

Capitalism and liberal ideology at it's finest

I'm not fukking indian idiot

This is a bad look, period.

Kaepernick should stand on principle and secure these deals AFTER his case is finished. It feeds into his opposition's case.

You act like you're the sole arbiter of what black public relations and strategy should be.
When is is case finishing? What deals was he getting BEFORE this? Educate me because I don’t like being ignorant

Dude donates plenty of money to black organizations and is an involved activist, i dont see the problem here if hes making money off his views.
If dikks Sporting Goods started making MAGA hats yall would lose your shyt.

I'm not feeling the corporatism of this, especially considering that people are leaping to defend nike. This shyt is just greasy to me.

I support everything Kaepernick has done, but this feels like a massive misstep.

Unfortunately he's out of work so I understand the need to keep dollars flowing but this is pure cynical opportunism by Nike. :camby:
I agree with you to a certain degree but they are toeing a crazy line considering that we live in an age of identity politics. They can easily alienate half their customer base. I think more corporations need to step up and do the same

How do you expect him to litigate against the NFL with no money coming in?
