True, that's not all of it and has so much material, a lot of excellent work in his discography then just went ahead and added 7 more at 1 time. I like artists like that that really have that desire to excel and be the best.
Truth. Revisited Deeper Elevation today. Very dope album. I slept on that one

Deeper Elevation the shyt, I love that album. It's notable and commendable how many GREAT albums K-Rino has in his discography. He put together a hell of a run from around 08 or 09 onwards also, the amount of quality projects he released was phenomenal, has great work prior to that also.

The albums appeal to different audiences I think too, some people are heavy on the Stories From The Black Book/Danger Zone era and some the latter ish, I fukk with all of it, I appreciate it all, huge amount of respect for K for what he's done, he's amassed an amazing body of work over the years, isn't easy to do, seems to just be growing and growing his fan base also. Hear about him regularly from all over.

truth i like a good mix of all of his eras...i can say that I'm not extra familiar with Stories from the Black Book, Hitt List, or the self titled album....i just tend to lose interest quick when i try to bump those... revisited Plantation Rebellion again today and that was also much better than i remembered it...

so what would your top 5-10 k-rino albums be in order?

I like a good mix too. When I first listened to Stories Of A Black Book I thought it was a good album, but it hugely grew on me, to the point where I now consider it a classic. I know a lot of the old school fans feel that is a classic also. It's like an early Rap A Lot style release, so for somebody that likes Face/Geto Boys work they may fukk with that, it's a street/hood album in a sense but mixed with dope lyricism and rapping (unsurprisingly for K) and intellect and spirituality. I think @Iron Chin Wilder described it as more visceral and I think that's a good description, rather than a knowledgeable master it's a young brother from the hood that's in the early stages of getting the knowledge and the hood influence and rawness/even imperfections (as a person) are still there. In that sense I'd compare it to Nas on Illmatic, not comparing the albums, I mean in that particular sense, Nas was like the street observer in that shyt and K is, as the title suggests, telling stories etc about his hood, but like Nas also ahead of the curve, far from a straight gangsta album, has that 5 percent style ish, obviously K being inspired by N.O.I etc. I would advise to listen to it in full from the beginning, it's a project, a concept album in a way not just random songs. There's songs on there I absolutely love, and I rate every song too, I love the album, but it did grow on me, I think at first was used to certain ish from K, but I appreciated it so much more when listened over the years and saw how cohesive it was, and don't get me wrong, lyrically shyt is still ill. It's a really excellent album to me.

The Hitt List another 1 that grew on me, shyt is dope, there's songs on there I fukk with, I think my rating for that 1 is 4 mics, some areas have some flaws if I remember, may have been production on certain songs, would have to revisit but there's also some great highs, I fukk with Doing Bad, Lyrical Grind, Street Corner Flows, Homeboys, H.O.E heavy. Stories From The Black Book though, I rate that a 5, I think that's a must listen, even for people that may not like K's music, because the sound and style is different, if they like Face or Geto Boys music should check that....

Really like Plantation Rebellion, certainly 1 that grew on me, just cause I loved TheRAPeutic so much so overlooked Plantation Rebellion which is also very good.

I'll get back to you on the album rankings as that's difficult, but I'll try do a rough 1.

I honestly don't know how to do this, but..

The albums I rate as 5 mics are.. (Excluding any new ones as haven't rated them yet)

The Maven
Deeper Elevation
Stories From The Black Book
TheRAPeutic
Making Enemies
Deprogrammed

May be more cause have some at 4.5 that more listening could change my rating.

The Maven
Deeper Elevarion
Stories From The Black Book
TheRAPeutic
Deprogrammed

That's an attempt but Danger Zone would have to come into my mind for consideration, not to mention Solitary Confinement,

Too much dope material, it's extremely difficult, arguably the greatest body of work when you look at all the material though to me.

Edit:

As a sidenote, this is 1 of my the first K-Rino songs I heard, fukked with this heavy, this from Stories Of The Black Book...

From 93...

right now Enter the Iron Trap and Conception of a Concept are the best ones to me. All quality albums front to back. I really didnt skip more than a song or two throughout the entire 7 albums and some of his older albums i skip mulitple tracks.

Had a discussion with a friend about this track earlier, he related to this 1, it's called Fix It, about fixing issues with people whether it be family or friends fallen out with, a lot of real content as usual...

Yeah, that's what I found so impressive about the 7, quality is high and it's consistent. Will be bumping these for a long time, really enjoying them, and am grateful for the amount of dope music, it's inspiring and thought provoking, must have taken a lot to create these in such a short space of time, from writing to recording etc and everything else in between, a lot of people, some even artists don't realise how difficult it is, there's a reason why nobody has done this like this before, it's a notable feat and achievement, his fans are really happy with the albums I've seen, it's only enhanced his legend further and cemented him even more. Looking forward to what he next does, I heard there was an album with Ganksta Nip that will be worked on in January, interesting if so, will probably be quite different. Glad got these though, a lot to keep playing, still am just enjoying them and haven't done much analising yet. Know this is a great achievement and the albums are ill though certainly, but to break down individual ones will take time.

yo has K ever addressed his use or lack of use of swear words? i noticed he almost rarely swears even though he did a little more back in the day...just didnt know if he ever addressed it. takes a lot of focus to write a good rap with little to no cuss words haha.

I think he's addressed not really saying "nikka" , in regards to lack of swear words not that I'm aware of, but clearly he has an immense and vast vocabulary, 1 of the best in Hip Hop, insane all the words he's used, when they did that study if K was included he may have won that, huge vocab. He doesn't swear much no, maybe a "b*stard" or some ish when dissing racists or something but he certainly isn't reliant on it. I think somebody on here interviewed him previously, maybe if they do again he can elaborate, I'd be interested how he got such a vast vocabulary actually, cause a lot of dope writers or orators have different stories in regards to that, with K I imagine it may be reading, N.O.I influence, family and natural intelligence. That's how can keep shyt interesting too, it can be annoying if a rapper keeps rhyming the same shyt over and over again with the same content, he uses masses of new words all the time, true wordsmith.
