This is why I believe we shouldn't trade the house for Mariota. There are too many holes in this team that its gonna take a couple of offseaons to fix the entire team, we shouldn't be in win now mode because the last two seasons have benefited from weak scheduling and just over achieving in general.

We need DB's like no tomorrow

I honestly don't believe we need another WR, just let Matthews play the two and throw Huff in the slot and let him cook.

Bruh a franchise QB is more important & also harder to find. We need to figure what the hell we are doing at QB before anything else. You cant just keep passing over a chance to get a franchise QB because we have holes in the secondary. It starts with the QB. You can always find players in FA, late round prospects. This is where being a good team at developing talent plays a big role.

agree, despite his lapses I think Huff will be a good NFL player. he can be the 3, a vet 4 isn't hard to find. ironically cutting Cooper's contract should basically even out Maclin's extension. hes gonna get 35+ over 4 imo. Cooper is not worth what they paid and theres no way they can afford to blow that much on him in 15

I feel you breh, but look at the Redskins and how far they've set themselves back because they traded away the house for a quarterback that may or may not be on the roster next season. FAs don't fix teams for long term, they just patch holes for teams trying to become contenders. There are way to many holes to patch on this sinking ship to throw away what will probably amount to two drafts for a quarterback.

Also, I feel like a defense is more important to this team than a quarterback. The defense is going to find itself on the field more because of this fast ass offense, so they are gonna need playmakers in order to get themselves off the field. Chip shown that he can put up points with just about any quarterback with a pulse, he just need to work on playcalling in the redzone. The defense on the other hand always seems to find a a way to keep itself on the field on the 3rd down by some stupid fukk and haven't shown any ability to produce turnovers this entire season.

Bucs and Titans are not moving off that number one pick if they get it. Only hope is Oakland but then again, would Oakland want first round picks from a team who could be a perenial playoff contender with Mariota behind center.

The only issue with trading up for Mariotta is the amount of picks and maybe players you would have to use to get that done..Washedup Deadkins traded 3 first rounders and a second rounder to go from 6th to 2nd...what would you have to give up to get from 23rd to second or first?

Agreed about the secondary,

but I agree with @WaddupDoe! This offense needs a Quarterback who can sustain drives and does not make bad decisions to turn the ball over.

The turnovers are what really killed this team this year, especially the defense (it exposed them).


Mariota is the perfect Quarterback for this system but we likely wont have a shot at him. If Mariota is attainable with first round picks, I think Chip and Howie would do it.

This is gonna be a tough off season for Chip and Howie, They are gonna make some tough decisions.

One thing I will say about the Redskins trade for RG3....this nikka from day one was more into being "The Brand" then being a great QB. That plays a part in his shytty play and all those players the Rams drafted haven't exactly been all pro either. Mariota has more of the Luck/Manning/Brees mindset...this nikka seem like he just wants to be a QB. He actually practices his craft, something RG3 clearly doesn't do.

Alright this isnt towards you personally. This is to every Eagles fan everywhere that brings up the Redskins as a example.
1. RG3 wasnt wanted by the staff so from the jump he is at a loss(wouldnt happen here for sure).
2. RG3 was hurt by injuries & his playing style. If RG3 never fukked up his knee who knows what would have happened?(Also you cant be scared of what another team failed at. Or else you will never get anyway.)
3. RG3 was worried more about his brand & himself then becoming a better QB.(shyt wont happen with Mariota)
4. RG3 didnt go into a situation like Mariota would be. I mean Mariota would be going to a team with his coach from college. Somebody who knows how to use him & somebody who played a role in developing him.

Also bruh you cant believe that defense is more important then QB for us? We are a offense based team. FAs give us stop gap players that can hold the fort down till we can get the necessary players to put in. Chip has shown he can put up points with any QB when it comes to bad teams. He doesnt have a guy that he can fully open up the playbook. Its like having a Ferrari & not being able to open it up. Also corners & safeties can be found in any round. Same with ILB.

shyt its still first round picks regardless. It isnt like they are going to be down graded to 3rd rounders if we make the playoffs. Plus Oakland could trade our first for players or moving up. Its a win win for both teams. Oakland is further away then us so im sure they would take the extra first.

Honestly it might be a lot. But as fans you look at the picks. But Chip & Howie are looking at it as if this is our guy then these picks dont mean shyt. If that makes sense? If Mariota ends up being our guy then those picks are money well spent.

You think Mariota woulda put up points on those defenses? Cause those were our 3 most hurtful losses this season and if you look at the teams they have top defenses with QBs that aint shyt except Wilson.

You can drop 30 a game but what good is it if a QB like Kirk Cousins can drop 30+ on you?
