every single qb from the 2012 draft has gone through rough spots, and sure there are idiotic fans that will hate on guys like dalton, tannehill etc but to think the organization is going to give up on them because of a rough patch is idiotic, and this is what dude that i was arguing with was implying. No patient/realistic eagles fan has all this animosity towards foles for a few bad games.

How will it get him sent back to college? If Mariota ends up being the stud i know he can be back with Chip. Then exactly how is that a bad thing? Lets just say Mariota ends up being the missing piece for our offense. We end up going on a run like Reid did with McNabb. But we get a SB. Would that end up being a failure? I know you are playing the "what if" game. But these are the type of things that HCs think about. If Chip feels that Mariota can be his guy for many many years. Then you go get him.

Im not sold on Foles. But im willing to let him play out his rookie contract. This will show us what he can do under some pressure of preforming in a contract situation. I think Foles missing this much time is also going to hurt his development(which sucks). Im not just handing him a big time extension. That would be a huge mistake.
