I'll take a healthy Maclin over Jackson all day. Jackson was a difference maker a lot of times, but seemed to disappear when it mattered most. And he was a small wr and one dimensional.

Don't get me wrong, him being there this year wouldn't have been a bad thing, but if Chip wasn't feeling him why not just cut him loose now and build with your young WRs and Ertz. #byrdgang

When was the last time Maclin was healthy? And when he was healthy, when was the last time he hit the 1000 yd milestone? Don't worry, I'll wait.

If D-Jax is 1 dimensional, then Maclin is 0 dimensional. What does he excel at? DJax has the added bonus of punt returns. You say DJax disappears when it mattered most, but Maclin never shows up. Never.

I'm rooting for our team but Maclin is the most average ass player. He hasn't done much in his career. He's no better than Reggie Brown, Stallworth, Kevin Curtis, and a host of others. And he's ALWAYS hurt.

How dare you have the AUDACITY to try and throw shade at Kevin Curtis.

That 4 td 200 yard game against Detroit in the throwback yellow and blue jerseys :wow:

I broke every receiving record with Curtis in Madden

When is the last time Djax had a big return after the miracle at the meadowlands 2? I think Mac with Chip gets to 1000 yards & 10 tds.

You got valid points, but Maclin still actually had better overall stats when compared during the time he played with Jackson. He typically had more TDs and receptions than Jackson. Jackson had a breakout year in year one under Chip da Gawd. Now Maclin has his chance to show what he can do in that offense *if healthy*.

Jackson has more highlight type plays that's why he gets all of the praise. And like above poster said, when was the last time Jackson did something special on PRs? If anything, he seemed to dance around, go back 5-10 yards, then run out of bounds. He was a good PR, but hasn't been that dynamic for a few seasons.

It all hinges on Maclins health. If he can stay healthy I think he has a good year

Stats wise Mac was better than Jaccson during their time together. Obviously they're different kinda WRs and we have to see Mac in game time to really judge it, but i wouldn't be surprised at all to see Mac put up 1000 yards and 10 tds
Didn't ya'll just get rid of Vick bc he is injury prone?

Vick left because he wanted a chance to start and that wasn't happening in philly after what Foles did last year. The Eagles wanted him back but he said nah.

And i wouldn't call Maclin injury prone. Obviously he has to prove he's recovered but id bet on him.

How is that such a dumb ass post? Non Eagles fan need to fallback and stop drinking the jaccpot kool-aid

he is a very good WR but he isnt nearly as great as everyone outside of the fanbase thinks he is..the only part of J Connor comment that I would disagree with is...I still dont like the idea of just cutting him (I would rather TRY and get something for him) or let it ride out this year and let him walk after this season but Chip saw it different
