He didn’t defend himself against the coach who grabbed him. Had he done it then, it’s a different discussion. He let that guy walk away, and then walked back into the fray and threw hands. That’s not “defending himself” like he claims it is. Defend yourself against gard if that’s your stance. Can’t be acting in that capacity as a head coach. Saying Howard was wrong doesn’t absolve gard from his actions. Both things can be correct. You don’t need a right side and wrong side. Both coaches actions are wrong and can be reprimanded. One high tailed it out of the frame, the other went back in throwing hands at folks not involved in the initial conflict claiming he was defending himself. That’s where the difference lies

It looked like Juwan decided he didn't want to shake the coaches hand; he appears to nod and maybe say "good game" as he passes by. Other coach grabs Juwon's arm to force him to stop, then forces a handshake. I agree, he shouldn't have swung at the assistant and that it's not a good look overall, but that first coach had no right to put his hands on Juwan. Just accept the snub and move on, but some people have a powerful sense of entitlement.
