I guess physical sales and whatever math for streams of the single?

But these are record that predate the streaming era. We had to go out and buy the shyt in the store. You mean to tell me that millions of us weren't in the store buying those singles? I did.

shyt is so confusing.

Between this, pump it up, and limp Bizkit I don't believe none of these labels
I know right? This was the shyt when I was in 8th grade. Thought this would be like 3 x diamond by now.

Then again, Pump It Up just got certified gold not too long ago.

Pump it up is trash and only gets played when you got served comes on

Pre streaming singles would only qualify for gold and platinum certifications based on the sales that were generated from the physical single released separately…back then those type of singles only did big numbers if they huge lead singles that were released before the album dropped, or a big remix that wasn’t available on the original album…Back That Azz Up was on the original pressing of 400 Degreez and by the time it was pushed as a single it was generating more interest in and sales for the album, instead of people just buying the standalone single…a big chunk of that 3X platinum is most likely digital and streaming from more recently

You're right. If I'm not mistaken Ha was the lead single for 400 Degreez
