sounds like some scorned ex who's seriously jealous of others taking his "spotlight" for introducing Connor to them. This dude is pathetic

the father loves what they're doing and is grateful for everything but he's bytching? :camby:

This.

Truthfully tho'... let's cast aside the "ah, the evil Triple H and Stephanie" shyt... MATTER FACT, lets cast aside the fact that this is WWE, let's just say this was any company that did this- McDonald's, Wal-Mart, whoever... does this REALLY make any sense to be something to have an issue about? If the FATHER of the child is happy and has a good relationship with them, and they did things to make his son happy before he passed... does it really matter who the fukk EXACTLY did it?

Breh, you're not following the smark narrative that triple H and Stephanie are evil human beings behind the camera as well

Again, this is textbook example of a guy who was jealous and scorned he wasn't in the spotlight as being the hero to introduce everyone. Ignore the good that's come from all this, ignore the FATHER being good in all this, but let's focus on this guy wishing he got the shine

Your thoughts on WWE editing and repurposing Ultimate Warrior's Hall of Fame speech to suit their needs?

DC Dave doing what's right :mjcry:

Seems like the coolest guy really. Always came off real and pretty down to earth last year. The timing of his return and the position he was put in was just off.

Maybe getting away humbled him because he didn't seem anything like the roided a$$hole he allegedly was back in the day.

Hypothetical:

If someone donates a bunch of money to a charity and then updates their facebook and twitter about how they just donated a bunch of money to said charity, how do you feel about that?

Did that person do a good thing?

Is that person a good guy or a douchebag?

WWE did great things for Connor and his family, and brought some of the brightest days to his short life......then prostituted those moments as part of corporate synergy with it's PR department

Exploitation is exploitation. They're also copy and pasting Warrior's last words to suit their PR needs. Just because they're paying Dana Warrior's bills doesn't mean they aren't exploiting Warrior's memory, and just because they had Vicki on payroll for 9 years doesn't mean they didn't exploit Eddie Guerrero. If it weren't for the lawsuit, they'd probably be selling blue blazer capes to this day. It's what they do

My boss even made a joke out of me making the announcement at the TV events. He would time me and threaten to cut my microphone if I did not finish the announcement fast enough. And this cavalier attitude was especially frustrating for me. After all, it was important to the company to show this video (bordering on propaganda), and the company wanted me to say something after — but make it snappy!

And some of yall still cape for this company:snoop:

The 'funniest' part to me was HHH/Steph reworking Justin's idea so that it's HHH as the one who calls out Connor and not Big E. It just fits into every sterotype about them that they turn every hot potential idea/angle into it centering around HHH :russ:

But I mean...at least ultimately it was all for a good cause.:ehh:

You mean the warrior award thing right?

I could have sworn it was about honoring people who work hard back stage. Then they turn it into something totally different where they honor people who display warrior qualities.

Sadly this was known

Lot of people speculated that Warrior said the award should be for people backstage. And some speculated during the Hall of Fame, that they really drove the Connor story to the point it probably depressed his own father which is why he seemed shaken at the ceremony (Don Tony and Kevin Castle mentioned)

Its tough man, this company does stuff for good PR with good intentions but stuff like this comes out.

I hope they dont try and bury and blacklist Justin Roberts from alumni events even though this will probably happen

When "charity" comes into contact with the imperatives of profit, marketing and corporate synergy, exploitative actions like this are always the result. I can't believe that people didn't see that something like this was the case before Justin's blog to begin with.

Charities like Make-A-Wish and Susan G. Komen tend to traffic in the same type of exploitation. More about the image of charity and how that benefits the affiliated than actually saving and improving lives.
