Mississippi and Tennessee break you breh? :mjpls:

What is :mjpls: about what I said?

The Biden Administration and Jen Psaki are now getting questions about whether will make promises about future Supreme Court members if any spots become open. He could have easily made the pick that he wanted instead of choreographing from the jump and create more issues for himself and administration.

Don’t sit here and try to make my comments :mjpls: as I’ve defended the move in previous threads when other posters have made a big deal about their husbands being white.

Before he was elected, Ronald Reagan said that he was going to nominate the first woman to be on the Supreme Court. He won the election and then his first Supreme Court nominee was Sandra Day O'Connor. He followed up on his pre-election promise.

Why should Biden not do the same? :mjpls:

Trump also said the same thing before he lost bigly

That may be true, but Biden has created another problem for himself depending on if another seat becomes open during his presidency. There was no need to choreograph the move prior as all it was going to do was cause issues.

He’s always putting his foot in his mouth and created issues for himself when he doesn’t necessarily have to.

He'll just nominate whoever, this is all theatrics.

I just don’t believe that promises should be made especially in the political world where shyt happens. We’ve seen what happens already when the Biden Administration tries to make promises.

I don't think he'll make another pledge, he doesn't need to. I do see your point about not making promises and just doing, that's what Obama did, nominated two women to the court and would have had a third and nobody batted a eye because they didn't make it explicit.

And they would have been saying the same shyt.

"Biden was always going to pick a black woman. AA is a sham."

Y'all really gotta stop giving stupid white supremacist talking points air. They hold no value. :mjlol:

You're commenting and acting as if said that he shouldn't pick a black woman at all :mjlol:

By making explicit promises, you're creating the issue of future segments of people wanting those same promises as well if another Supreme Court seat comes open in his presidency. You're already seeing it now with the question being asked of Jen Psaki whether Biden will make future promises when it comes to nominating an Asian or gay person to the Supreme Court.

To be 100% honest, I could care less who he picks to the Supreme Court. That's what you fail to realize by trying to make my comment come off as :mjpls:

Multiple presidents have pledged to nominate various candidates based on gender or background, going back over 100 years. Including Trump and Reagan recently. Anyone upset about this is not worth having a conversation with.
