So basically you think Hollywood should not release any movies at all in December except for the Star Wars spin-off movie because nothing could possibly make any money with the specter of whatever solo Star Wars character will be getting his own movie. Gotcha.
Now a little history: The Phantom Menace came out May 19, 1999 and made a ton of money; a few weeks earlier The Mummy came out and guess what? The Mummy made over $100 million. So a movie can make money even if it does come out the same month as a Star Wars movie.
And if a Flash/Green Lantern movie is successful then it would no doubt spawn solo movies for the characters so I don't see why it matters whether they have solo movies first or go the team up route. Either way it gets the characters on movie screens. Plus if this comes after the Justice League movie then these two characters will have already been established for audiences. And the reason for the team up movie is likely because of the Green Lantern movie flopping so hard.
They need to connect the movie universe with the TV universe though.
And one of the mods needs to merge this thread with the other one.
Its not Ep. 7, man...its one of the spin-offs that Gareth Edwards is directing. Probably young Han Solo or some shyt.I don't think you read a single thing I said and are arguing with yourself at this point. Sandman will be moved. We are not talking about episode I. We are talking about episode 7 of Star Wars and the continuing movies. WB is undervaluing their properties with this strategy. Give Green Lantern a reboot and he can have his own Universe. Flash tv show will prove Flash has his own story line too. Mixing them is as STUPID as giving Sandman a movie instead of having him on AMC or HBO. Going up against Star Wars will be suicide. Mark my words.

And how is it undervaluing to give a character the big screen movie treatment? The world shyt on Green Lantern the first time out so they are using a different strategy to re-introduce him. That makes all sorts of sense.
Who's the dude to the far right in that picture?
Gal Gadot needs to do some squats
So you are basically just a crab when it comes to any of the stuff being done with DC characters? Got it.It wouldn't matter if Sandman came out in the same month as a Princess Leha movie...it is food for the wolves.
It will get pushed back just like GI Joe got pushed back.
And since GL/Flash movie is happening, it will probably be a buddy cop type of vibe to it. Space cop meets CSI fast man! Think of the storylines! Interstellar villian kills someone on earth and runs into Flash, but then Green Lantern mistakes Flash for the villain! Hero vs Hero for ten minutes. Then they talk it out...come to find out there is a bigger plot going on...they team up. We get details about their characters and revamped Green Lantern! WOOO!!!! It's going to bore us all to death. But hey it's their franchises....lets just hope they don't fukk it up. My money is on them fukking it up.
Lex Luthor
Batman
