Well on the coli at least you can say something offensive if you want or be a straight jackass and instead of just getting the boot you get community justice from the people on the site, like, we self regulate this space ourselves for the most part. Like I was on Twitter right and I called out that dude who wears the blue vest all the time a c00n and got shadow banned, I also got shadow banned on instagram for no reason too, plus if I say some shyt on ig like "fukk those nikkas" they give me a precaution message before letting me even comment, like it's just annoying
The Coli is a small community. Community moderation works here for the most part, but even here you have complaints about unequal enforcement, and not all of them are unfounded. Coli mods have biases. When you have millions or billions of users, you need algorithms to moderate, and machines often are often overzealous. I got zucced for 24 hours for posting the "slack jawed fakkits" line from Predator on a movie page about famous movie quotes and another time for posting an anti Proud Boys meme because it had the PB logo on it. No nuance.
