shyt was :childplease: status

Glad I didn't know go see it the movies now. It was pretty much "condemned "with bow & arrows. I still remember when white people were pissed that rue's character was black....lol. She wasn't even IN the movie like that for anyone to be upset. For the people who feel it was epic and went to see it 2 and 3 times , I imagine they look something like

So when I read that something was awful on here I usually assume that it's typical "coli" shyt to hate on what's popular and I keep it moving; unless they give actual in depth reasons as to why it sucked...

Well

I don't get how this movie was soooooo popular.. It wasn't a bad movie, but it was VERY VERY AVERAGE

I went to the store when it first came out on blu ray/ DVD and the shelves that were holding it were almost completely empty.. I don't get what was so great about it??

Maybe the book was the shyt and that's why the movie did so great.. Idk

Yeah I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't picked it up yet but the whole " I can throw a 100 lb barbell 50 feet" and then to have that ability not even being used was like...:wtf: Then the fire arrows from the promos, rue...or lack thereof, no connection to any of the other characters except main, unoriginal, etc. The best part of the movie was the apple scene....

I said the same about the black girl and surprisingly some people here disagreed. I saw dudes talking about being sad when she died and I'm like what!?

her character wasn't on screen long enough to mean anything. Maybe some people are sensitive to seeing children hurt on film or something, but I need to see at least a little bit of character development to get invested in any character, kid or not. shyt was like when the little white girl blew up at the beginning of The Untouchables. bytch was only on screen for a couple seconds, who cares?

so yeah, I woulda liked them to stretch the Rue shyt out at least an extra 10 minutes or something, and this is coming from someone who tears up on plenty of movies. I damn near cried watching Source Code son

I was feeling the main chick though. Her face ain't all that but her body is crazy for a white girls :whoo:

The book was better for sure. I enjoyed the movie for the most part though, but did have some dislikes about it.

Funny tho regarding how folks felt abut Rue and her rather quick death. What they showed in the movie is almost line for line, scene for scene how much development or lack thereof she had in the books. Only thing is in the books, any time Rue was mentioned, Katniss repeatedly parallels her likeness to her sister, whereas in the movie, that's moreso is left to the viewers to figure out on there own. It's that parallel that is suppose to make her death so significant, considering Katniss reason for volunteering in the first place.

:sadbron: @ Rue dying

:heh: @ that one girl screaming Catos name when she was getting her face blasted against the side of the little buildin by that dude

For the 15th time....people liked the movie because we read the books & got invested in the story. It's not Oscar worthy cinema but, :manny:

Yea.....they could've devoted another 10 or 15 minutes to Rue. I wont lie though. I felt warm & tingly inside after Rue died & District 11 saluted her :to:

Maybe I need to read it again. Could've swore Rue got a whole chapter. That's atleast 30 pages, only to get 3 scenes in the movie :ld:
