Why ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Is Poised To Be This Summer’s Top-Grossing Live-Action Film: B.O. Postmortem

FINAL UPDATE, Monday 3:11 PM:
There’s a consensus out there:Disney/Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War will be the highest-grossing live-action film of the summer, with a final domestic around $450M. The only other title to rival it for the season is Disney’s own Finding Dory.

Aint even been a week.
:wow:

49ers..Braves..Celtics
12 movies in.

Chris Evans as Cap
Downey Jr. as Iron Man
Spider-Man inclusion
Black Panther intro
Scar Jo
Elizabeth Olson
Paul Rudd
etc...

It opens at $179M. After tremendous reviews. After tremendous "word of mouth"

All I'm sayin is it was the perfect storm for this movie and instead of over $200M they saw a significant drop off from Age of Ultron. It's not an L. But it's something to consider. I think Rogue One is about to win the year.

Star Wars does it again :wow: :wow:
