My brother's keeper
Bosh and Whiteside can work, but not when teams go small.

If Bosh had a power game I could say we could try to overpower teams, but he was taking step backs over Harden instead of bullying.

We need both starting and productive vs the Cavs, Spurs, Griz etc., but both can get us run off the court vs a small team. I like the adjustment Spo made of only one on the court vs Houston.

you see how Tyler Johnson worked the pick and pop with Bosh in the 4th? why can't Dragic and Bosh get that going?

Still amazed how Winslow put the clamps on Harden :stopitslime:
I'm not yet sold on Winslow as a star in the making or even a very good player in the making like some people say he is.

But one thing I do know is that kid will be a lock down defender. Been saying this all preseason. And I see why people say "he' s not great at anything in particular but he does everything well"

Wade and Dragic are both primarily slashers and create the majority of looks for others (And themselves) by attacking the paint to collapse defenses.

Deng also loves to cut meaning we need spacing so teams don't just pack the paint or collapse it.

Bosh is the best shooter in the starting lineup and still commands defensive attention no matter where he is on the court.

If Dragic, Wade, Whiteside, Deng, and Bosh are on the court, which one of those players do you want be your "floor spacer" and who do you think is commanding the most defensive attention from the three point line and out?
I dont view Dragic as much of a slasher. Wade and Deng, yes.

Dragic needs to be more on-the-ball IMO. Yes we need Bosh to keep bigs out of the paint but at the same time if he lives around the 3pt line as he has they'll just stop wasting bigs on him and just have random SFs guarding him just like Lebron was ton a few plays the other night.
And you know he still wont post up when that happens

Winslow already developping his euro-step :banderas:

Look how He shakes Harden to his right. THen Harden recovers and then Winslow crosses back to the right after driving left.

Wade must be so proud :mjcry:

Told you on draft night this kid is going to be special. I know you arent sold yet but watch, you'll see

YEah i remember that.

I already see he's special in terms of defense, rebounding and playmaking. Im sold on him probably being one of the smartest players on the team already. It's just that i felt he was taking it easy on offense during summer leagues and the preseason where as Josh Richardson showed his ass (no homo) when given the opportunity.

With this squad we dont need him to carry any loads on offense yet so let him spot up and develop his 3pt range. He has the quickness to drive already down pat. And im starting to see why some compared him to James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. I see more of the Harden part right now. He'll need to get stronger for the Leonard part.
With him and TJ and J.Rich... no matter what happens this year ans next all i know is our future is bright :smoker:..even tho we dont have any picks :sadcam:

@Primetime21 You gotta understand since i dont watch college sports im always skeptical of players coming out of college. The more hype they get the more :francis: you 'll see out of me. I been burned to many time, brehs :sadcam:
  • As i told you all i became a Heat fan with the Harold Miner hype in 92:mjcry: To this day i still hate Kevin Loughery and Brian Shaw for Miner's lack of playing time. Only to see the kid fail in every way
  • I was all hyped up when we got Khalid Reeves too because clones had me believe dude was Isiah Thomas in the making (yeah.. i know .. i know:snoop:)
  • I again ALMOST fell for the sh!t with the Caron Butler pick. Caron was good...just didnt turn into the star as so many thought he COULD be.
  • Then came Wade. Noone in Miami expected him to be anything but just a good PG coming in. Riley sold us on Wade saying "Gary Payton with a vertical leap" so i was thinking lockdown defender...only to see the kid become a superstar :blessed:
  • Then came Dorrell Wright. I didnt buy Riley's T-Mac comparison but i still liked the kid. Thought he could have been much better if only Riley and this regime knew how to better develop young players
  • Then came all the Beasley Hype. I saw him for the fraud that he was when he played summer leagues. I knew the kid wasnt taking the game seriously and would probably never amount to sh!t.THen his second year came and i got my hopes up...until that one play in the playoffs against the Celtics. I broke my TV remote because of that clown and wrote him off on the spot.

So again, forgive me when im skeptical of rookies coming in with high expectations. A breh can only allow his heart only be broken so many times:mjcry:

Look, when primetime tell you to get behind somebody just hitch yourself to the wagon. My track record for scouting talent is impeccable, give or take a miss here and there :smugbiden:

Now I see why you said he's developing his eurostep instead of knowing he already had that. He was eurostepping all over the ACC last year.

A lot of what he's showing so far is just a continuation of what he showed at Duke.

ONTO ATLANTA

ATL's D is tough but they are still adjusting to Caroll's departure. THey got Splitter which makes them even bigger up front now. Our bigs better get their rest after exhausting themselves last night on that comeback. Dragic is gonna have his hands full with their PGs. I say we let Winslow guard Teague and have Dragic guard that shooter of theirs. Cant recall his name :lupe:
