The problem with the small ball lineup is they're not really taking advantage of it. If they're going to play small, they need to play fast and trap on defense once in a while. They're playing the same system as always, but just with smaller players which doesn't make sense. They had a time late last night where Lowry was out by halfcourt and there was a perfect opportunity to trap but they didn't so Lowry was able to get to the basket and that's when he hit that little jumper from the baseline.

Miami has no Whiteside, No Bosh. They came back after being down 20 on the road. Stop blaming Spo because he's honestly done almost everything sensible aside from not going ultra small.

Gerald Green (terrible), McRoberts (p*ssy), and Amare (good in spurts) are what he has to work with outside the "main" rotation. Dudes are missing gimmes and once again Dragic disappeared but isn't getting a ton of flak for it. Yall aiming guns at the wrong guy :francis:

Yeah, that small-ball lineup we put out there was looking right. McRoberts actually played alright on both sides of the ball. Toronto looked completely gassed. I think it may be time to just run-run-run, because we can't do ish in the halfcourt besides give the ball to Dwyane and beg him to bail us out. We did too much "Let's get everyone but Dwyane going" in the 1st quarter. Let Dwyane get it going, and everyone FOLLOW his lead. Make the team adjust to Wade's scoring. Either we do that, or we go super small and run-run-run!!!

:damn:

No Bosh, No Whiteside, No Deng thru most of the game.
The Team fought hard. that start truly killed them, but they still had a chance to win the game.

amazing, both Amare and Joe johnson signed with Miami for these moments and they both have been disappointing. tho joe has had his moments.

tough to blame Spo really when he's missing his entire starting front court and 3 of his 5 best players. One thing I will say tho, and its been a criticism I've had since the Big 3 era. his offensive sets leave a lot to be desired. he needs to stop spending off seasons with football coaches and start spending them with basketball coaches

this is probably going 7.

I thought small ball would be their best chance at winning, but that was before Deng got injured. playing Winslow or JJ at the 5 is going to be really tough on rebounding. esp with the refs letting Biyambo do whatever he wants down there

at one point, there was a possession where neither Wade nor JJ wanted the ball and left it up to 2 rookies and a 2nd year undrafted player to score :heh: luckily JRich hit a jumper to end the possession...or maybe it was Winslow

Dragic....he is just way to inconsistent man. way too one dimensional.

We need Bosh. :yeshrug:

Our best three point shooter, one of our best and smartest defenders, and a guy who can consistently create for himself. :francis:
Yeah but he'll be rotting on the bench
So why we give up two first rounders and give Dragic 90 mill if he can't create shots for himself and others Pat got hoodwinked
And he misses alot of open shots. I don't know how many times Wade has driven passes to him and he bricks a 3.

I've been underwhelmed with him.

I like Dragic, a lot, and he's much better than what we used to have running our PG show but I think he's the type that needs a certain type of team around him to be consistently good. He needs a lot of freedom, good shooters in the corners and a big that can space the floor.

He's not a guy who can run an offense which is what we need. Without Bosh, we got a bunch of guys that need to be created for. Joe Johnson was supposed to lighten that load but he simply can't.

So Wade is forced to be the playmaker and he's trying to get everyone involved while taking over and he just doesn't have that kinda stamina to do that over a 7 game series that's had multiple overtimes.

Our faster paced offense doesn't work in the playoffs because when we start to go on a run, teams will just rush back and dare our half-court offense to beat them. If we go small to try and take advantage, teams will just start firing shots up and let their bigs pound the glass on offense which turns into so many second chance points and confident shooters,
