Unless Wade and Hassan takes a huge pay cut, it's probably not happening. With McRoberts, Bosh, Dragic, Winslow, and Richardson...we're dropping about 50 mil.
Hassan is prolly getting the max or close to it. 25-27 mil. That's already like 75 million or so. Then you got Wade to think about. Imagine he takes 5 million. We already at 80 mil and a little less than 10 mil to offer Durant.
Imagine we get rid of McRoberts and save 5 milli. That's still only 15 million dollars to offer a guy who is gonna be offered 27-29 million plus we have the whole rest of the roster to deal with.
No one is trading for Bosh due to his health worries so your best bet is to try and move Dragic.
Albert Random said the team will have $38 million in cap space this summer, and $43 mil if they move McBob. Thats enough to sign Durant, who would start out at $25 mil. That leaves $13 mil, which probably won't be enough to re-sign Whiteside. I can't even think about Wade, Joe, and Deng, because I have no idea what they'll want.
I dont know the exact math but I've heard they could try getting Durant to sign a 1 year deal with an opt in and get him under the cap if Whiteside takes a little less than the max.
The only way they could get Durant is move Bosh for unguaranteed money, but no contract that large exists that I know of
