Welp we lost time to start back blaming Spo
Edit: Wade played trash and we're one of the best defensive teams in the league and we allowed over 110 :what:
We have to be better

Hassan starting in this game wouldn't have mattered. He still ended up with 5 fouls, and they still ended up killing us in the paint, even with Hassan on the floor. While he did kill it offensively, he only had, what, 2 blocks? Plumlee did a good job against him. He played about 11 more minutes than Amare also.

there's absolutely NO reason to be starting amare at this point. he's not starting on any other team in the league. not saying we woulda won the game with hassan starting, but these slow starts gotta stop. I don't care if we're on a 10 game winning streak, amare should not be starting for a playoff team.

part of the problem is, in this particular game, Amare was a net negative no matter when he played...we really missed Bosh

i'm not saying we woulda won the game if hassan started but we did get off to a slow start and it changed when hassan came in:yeshrug:....there's no good reason for him to not be starting right now. spo just being too smart for his own good. we got outplayed tonight and we deserved to lose. this L is definitely more on the players than spo, but he still needs to make that move already.

I think you're looking too hard at him coming off the bench IMO. He's still playing the same minutest he's always played. This is more of a lineup thing. When Whiteside comes off the bench the offense runs through him

This is one of those games where we could've used Bosh. I agree. I don't think we're better without Bosh. Moving Bosh to the 5 while allowing Deng to play the 4 would've yielded the same winning streak. Bosh is just as good of a floor spacer as Amare is at the 5. And Bosh is the better scorer and defender. But all in all, Amare's been fulfilling his role for the most part during the last 7 games.

I don't think Amare's been that bad for the most part. But overall, I think we either gotta start Hassan, or just start playing him 35+ minutes. Spo's scared of the foul trouble Hassan may get into early on, but Hassan's been proving for the past month that he's one of the more intelligent and solid defensive big men in the league. I think it's time for Spo to take those training wheels off. I agree....

reporters grilling spo right now

asked why he brought hassan in so late in the 3rd after he played so well in the first half....spo said any rotation looks better in hindsight. reporters asked him if there's some kind of issue there with hassan....dude looked depressed as hell and gave a dead ass "no":heh:

I said that at 1st. But I think Hassan has gotten to a point where he's ok if the offense doesn't run through him. He'll be OK if he starts and and he doesn't get as many possessions. He's proven thus far that he'll still play hard and smart on the defensive end, even when the ball isn't going to him. He's at a point where he "get's it" and I'd feel comfortable if we did start him. I was cool with Hassan off the bench at 1st, and it looked like everything was rolling well that way. But I think Hassan as done enough to prove that he'd be a net positive in the starting offense. The only thing I worry about when it comes to starting Hassan, is who'll be our offensive spark-plug off the bench? With Hassan in our starting lineup, that'll be all of our best offensive players starting, and no one on the bench who can light it up.
