a lot of us Heat fans give Spo a hard time, but there are a lot who think he's a really good coach. well, last season was his 1st coaching in the NBA without having a top 5 player in the league. now we will give him the benefit of the doubt due to circumstances...but there are no excuses this year

He's never been out of the first round (non LeBron years), I still remember his wide eyed look in the finals vs. the Mavs. Even with the injuries Heat should have made the playoffs last year
But even if you wipe the slate clean. This year will say a lot about Spo imo
For what its worth I dont think Golden is a bad coach. Just not great
Same way I feel about Spo. It always seems like something is missing. Those Heat teams were loaded...why were the games so tough
But yea this year will tell a lot about him. Maybe he needed a year to adjust without LeBron cause he was caught off guard.

Those Heat teams did not have the collective talent that some of these Golden teams have had, which is why the comparison sucks to begin with.

I completely agree. If Spo cant at least get to the ECF with a fully healthy squad. We are in for a long ride until at least until Riles is retired & somebody can be able to fire Spo.

No doubt. Wade did the heavy lifting that first year against the Celtics and Mavs. Wade was the reason they beat the Pacers the following year imo. Bosh was critical in them beating Boston and beating OKC.
I just felt Spo was always a game late with adjustments.
Guess I'll adopt these nikkas as my East team this season. It's been the Bulls for a lil minute but these muhthafukkas are about as dysfunctional as it gets. @beaniemac @Brozay

Man it would be so dope if Thibs just took a defensive coordinator type of job with us. Like Alvin Gentry did on the offense for the Warriors.

Team lacks defenders; shooting, and the East has gotten better. Heat could go 45-37 and lose second round to the Bulls/Wizards. This team has talent, but the core guys are old and the field has improved.
