Is it just me or is Bosh/Whiteside have the potential to be one of those elite 4/5 duos on both ends?
Seriously. You put some runners and energy with those two, they look almost unstoppable and especially when Bosh puts pressure on defenses by constantly attacking.
This game is making me stick with my statement that Winslow's absolute floor is like a Draymond Green-tier player. A dude who makes all the great plays that might not always show up in a box score but will win you games.
I've always liked Johnson but he's definitely impressed me. He's kinda like what we all wanted for Ennis and his high flying, give no fukks attitude seems to match well with more composed decision makers like Winslow / McRoberts plus other fast moving and slightly insane players like Chalmers / Green.
The best thing about this game is what I think it shows about our versatility as a squad. Our primary playmakers had a bad offensive game? We can run our offense through our bigs and turn up our defensive intensity! You know how much it must suck to have to deal with Deng/Winslow on the perimeter, Bosh on the PnR, and Whiteside anchoring the paint?
Did you the amazing defensive communication? Bosh, refusing to jump, and using his length to contest and block off the baseline so Whiteside could time the rejection? Winslow funneling dudes into Bosh, trapping from the opposite side, and the other perimeter players looking for the forced pass?
And it hasn't been mentioned but Bosh has been noticeably banging much harder on the boards when his shot isn't falling.
I love this squad. I don't think any team really wants to see us in the playoffs and we haven't even gotten it together because our defense is gonna be elite come the end of the year.
Spo is tinkering with the lineups and he's starting to see some dangerous defensive lineups and noting good chemistry (Chalmers and Tyler have great chemistry).
