so the joker isn't a crazy white boy fundamentally? The trailers are painting him as just some little misunderstood dude. And the reviews in here don't sound too far off of what I'm thinking.

It's a origin story...about a fictional character. Yes he is white. Trailers only show you bits of film. Is there love letters to gangs/drug dealers with hood films and TV shows? What about Italian Mob films for Gangsters? Serial Killer Flicks People want to connect Joker with recent shyt bc he was the biggest villain in comic book history and politics want guns as the biggest villain in history.
