Omar's death was more memorable to me...any time I saw the "lean your ear up against a door to hear" in any movie after that, I expected a knife through the head.

As a fan of the franchise and serial killer movies in general, I fukked with it...but it's not a very good movie, or a 'Scream' sequel, there was no real sense of mystery and hardly any tension, the story unfolded very sloppily and didn't feel fluid just one set piece to another, hardly any scares or surprises. The killers and their motives were not believable at all, a fukking 16 year old girl slamming butcher knifes through peoples heads, and dismembering people with the strength of a grizzly bear?

First one is a straight classic and untouchable, but 4 was hardly a wimper. You could tell that they put some effort into it.

Scream 2 get shytted on, but it was honorable sequel.

The movie intro scene with Jada and Omar getting gutted up, while the movie theatre was going nuts over the Stab flick was great.

They should have stopped after part 2. But as long as it is a money maker Neve Campbell will be doing these movies when shes 50.

I enjoyed it for what it was...sure there was some seriously implausible shyt going on but the nostalgia factor and the before credit scenes made it watchable.
The biggest issues I had with the movie though were:
1. They punked out on killing Sidney, Dewey and Gail
2. They punked out on establishing Sidney's cousin as the bizarro lead of any sequel films (where the mystery would be seeing how long it takes her friends to figure out she was a maniac and who her new accomplices would be)
3. They should not have killed Hayden Panittiere's character because she was like a combined Sidney/Randy and could have been the heroine of any sequels.
