Really thought this was pretty weak, some moderate to strong funny scenes…but very quick, cheap, rushed…heavy on music montages, Rogen was pretty flat for the most part, he did his usual act..it just never really felt like it was working the way it did in the past, Dave Franco was great, very strong spot in very flimsy material, and I hate typing this but so was Effron. It was the rest of the movie that really live up to the cast, or the premise. It couldn't really sell the concept of Rogen with a wife and kid, it's an easy one and he's done it before, just this time it felt very hollow, and the movie couldn't support it. 'This Is The End' is easily the smarter, funnier movie…but 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' by the same director was os much sharper, wittier genuinely interesting and inspired movie…This felt like a tired retread of cutting room floor material. The nudity, nor the gross out gags aren't much we haven't seen before, and it's crude, and loud, and theres some middy impressive parties staged I guess…but it's rarely very funny. Of course, the idiot audience cackled over every pratfall and sight gag, and was silent through the funnier moments like the Batman voice, and the De Niro impression scene, and a few other notably funny scenes….The outkast song bit was good too….Overall, felt unfinished, or uninspired, just lazy and repetitive, in a mundane and tired, inoffensive way…It's NOT good for what it is, it's below average for what it is….
