Frodo was practically useless. He couldn't fight, had no street smarts and Smeagal would've whipped his ass in a fair one

Who else could have carried the ring the whole way without getting corrupted? Sam had to carry Frodo because he sure as hell couldn't have carried the ring.
Could Sam not carry the ring? I know Frodo wouldn't let him try, but aren't all Hobbits more or less incorruptible?

Not true they was all susceptible to magic I believe you remember the part where Pippin was seduced by the orb of eye of Sauron?!
That was after years of him using it tho. But on the other hand, the ring was going all out trying to be found, so I guess it could be more difficult to withstand. LOTR lore is dope af.
And the worst part is when you put it on Sauron & his minions knows exactly where you are....

Smeagol too. His best friend found the ring, Smeagol became so infatuated with it he murked him and took it. Went underground and became Gollum.
