Because it has clear intentions of trying to be funny, except it's really not. It's just a parody of what it's trying to achieve.

Not one weak character in this film. Everybody did their thing. I didn't really laugh until the bodyguard started to take off. Straight retarded. Camera work was dope. Loved how they were narrating while they were acting. Not sure of the technical term for that. I will say though (and I understand this could be looked at as a dis) it felt like a Netflix movie. Like I could easily see this film being made for them and not at the theatres. Only flaw to me was they needed more of Nancy. Develop her character like they did everybody elsr. I'm giving this a A grade. Can't say the best cause I gotta see Shape of Water. Not seeing the gay, pedo film

Yeah I wanted to see it cause from the clips Allison Janney looks like a super bytch & I’m used to her as quite the opposite. I was really young when Nancy got cracked in the knee, but I recently learned about this lady who is a now retired ice skater.




She faced major racism as a black ice skater and was critiqued harshly because her style (of more of dancing on ice skates) was frowned upon. She was like the og Chazz Michael Michales (her style). Idk how i came across her but she is amazing.

Yeah I remember her- she represented France.

I have no idea how Tonya was in real life because I was 6 during the event but what I had heard, mostly in TV shows and Jay Leno monologues, I expected her being a monster. I felt they needed more unreliable narrator to make this fantastic. I do feel all the slow-mo stuff looked really off for some reason. Other then that I enjoyed it.

Its not just on the "incident" its her whole life, its fukked from the age of 4 onwards, abusive parent, abusive husband, no education.

Wether or not she was involved in the incident, nothing can condone what happened to Nancy but still cant ignore how much of a fukked life Tonya hard

Maybe, but the film was more about Tonya's life - the Nancy incident was just part of it, however it made her who she is now. But think point of film was to show Tonyas whole life to that point.

I was thinking no way the bodyguard thing was real, then you see the real interview lol

The movie was as good as it could be considering no party involved will ever reveal the full truth behind the Nancy Kerrigan incident. Robbie and Janney were amazing but I wasn't sure what Bobby Cannavale's character was supposed to add. Very entertaining movie though.
