Damn G they tryna give you 10 over assault? Damn thought you was on some getting money type of crime...in my eyes if Ima do time it was cause I was tryna get money not violence
It’s so many factors at play with that shyt tho, every situation isn’t the same. Some judges are better than others, some are known for being easy, some are known for throwing the book at brehs. That’s why you gotta get a lawyer who knows the folks in that court house, he can get a better feel for what you’re dealing with. If you in front of a judge that’s known for being hard and you don’t take the plea, if you lose they gonna hem you up even harder. Then add in the money factor and having that shyt hang over your head for a year. Fighting cases will crush you, you could very well get knocked down a few financial pegs just off dealing with it even when you do beat it. Don’t discount that stuff either. Sometimes you just want that shyt over with. But with that said it’s really a case by case basis breh, it’s not as easy as just saying “I ain’t do it, ima fight it”. Gotta look at the whole situation and make your decision from there.

I won’t call duck tales but OP is a little more cavalier than I would imagine for a nikka facing jail time for something he didn’t do...
Did they do a photographic line-up?25k pre trial release. No ankle monitor or nothing. Twice a month check in.
My original bond was 50k. They let me go at preliminary after the detective showed up to put his twist on things.
My case got indicted after release. My lawyer said they indict everything. They'd "indict a ham sandwich".
One important factor I should include is that fact that I called the detective to explain why I was in the area at that time and told him i didn't do it, so they have that phone recording. My lawyer was mad as hell about the call. Said I shouldn't have and I should've call a lawyer first thing after I learned they was looking for me. Smh.
They have the video of me "coming and going around the time of this alleged assault". The victim 911 call for the injury and a video of this homeless person lurking the area.
No video of the attack or shyt. All circumstanial.
Just some bad luck, "you gotta be kidding me" type, coincidental bullcrap.

When i was 15 y.o police try put a attempted murder case on me, because i lost my bus pass and i was lazy about cancelling it, and it was used in the stabbing ( stabbed a damn white guy for protecting his girl, no lie them nikkas was mad wrong). I'm lucky the nikka they claimed was me was a 6'5 lightskin dreadhead, and a was 5'10 brown skin nikka with i low cut all around.
I looked at the Canadian detective like
I asked "does that really look me"
He replied "Yes, it kind of does"
Me, and the lawyer was just sitting there like
.I couldn't even snitch (not that i would have straightaway) them nikkas would find my house, and i would have to murk someone to show i ain't playing
I ain't get to court they dropped it before it went that far, but that woke a young nikka up, there's not justice if your skin is black in the Europe, and Europe lite (USA).

WTF??? Yeah just wait it out. The DA in Fulton County has a chart, basically listing all crimes and what the ADA can offer you. They got 10 to do 5 off that chart. That comes without them even examining the case much. If the victim was not able to pick you out of a lineup, their case is weak at best. I do a lot of work in that courthouse so I have seen this played out over and over.
