That is what makes the audio book so dope, it's nothing like that, way more realistic and they went and got voice actors from all over the world to make it more authentic when they are describing in what country they are from. Straight piff
That's how the movie should have been, they didn't need a big actor for this shyt and could have done so much with it that would have made it different from other zombie movies.

I never finished the book. Movie felt very vanilla though.
It should have been made like Band of Brothers on HBO
Each chapter or story from the book would be it's own episode and each episode would begin with a survivor being interviewed
the series would start off with patient zero in China and from then on episodes would show how the virus spread across the world
an episode dedicated to finding out what happened to the people in North Korea would be a perfect horror/mystery episode as they search bunkers and military fortifications

They had to reshoot the whole 3rd act and still fumbled it imo. It's not a bad movie but it was underwhelming to me.
an hbo mini series. each episode is a different story.
Movie was straight for what it was. But yea it could have been adapted from the book if they weren't money hungry and desperate for a blockbuster. Numerous things from the book were left out that would have been dope to see adapted to film.
