Great you can answer some questions for me....

I watched first two seasons, then just lost interest was doing something else when it was coming on.

My questions..............

1) what the fuuck happened??? I saw the last episode but don't understand how they bring everything together?? Where are they at? How did they get there?

2) Where did the other people on the island come from?

3) What happened to Walt, the lil boy, from the first season? Also, did his father who went out on the raft ever make it anywhere?......

:ohhh: ....

Don't see the spoiler button so for those that don't want to know don't read below -

1.) From how it's explained, they're all in purgatory when they all meet up. After the end of season 3 shyt started to get a little wild with the direction of the show and they started showing flash forwards of when some of the survivors got off of the island. After season 5 they started getting on to time travel with the island and in season 6 it started with what was pretty much described as an alternate universe where they never got off of the island. The alternate universe was done up just like the flashbacks in the first 2 seasons were and the flash forwards in seasons 4 and 5. The finale ended up revealing that the alternate universe was actually not any real "time" but a place all of the survivors made after they died. A big part of the show was people "letting go" and the survivors couldn't let go after they died, so they were living in an alternate reality/purgatory where the plane never crashed. Them getting together was meant to show that they remembered their experience on the island and were ready to move on to their afterlife. It's a little convoluted and maybe a little odd to explain especially if you haven't watched the entire series because there were a lot more factors that played into it, but that's the best way I can explain it lol. The end was just that - the end. The survivors were all dead in the alternate reality (well after the crash onto the island, well after everything that happened) and the alternate reality you saw in the finale and what was ultimately shown throughout all of season 6 was their middle ground before being able to move on into the afterlife.

2.) The Other's were essentially the original people on the island that were part of Jacob (he protector of the Island)'s group. Ben wanted to be the next Jacob and that's why he was trying to run things but he wasn't "special". Also, the island itself seems to have dated back at least a century and was mystical. It was a place that was just "different" and had different properties than anywhere else in the world (in later seasons the island could actually move to different places in the ocean, facilitated time travel because of its electromagnetic properties)

3.) Walt survived but was pretty much phased out after the first or second season. Michael eventually started working with the Other's to get his son back and the Other's let him and Walt leave the Island in exchange for capturing the other survivors. Michael was eventually brought back to the island to help kill some of the survivors and died in the process. Walt didn't really appear on the show after that outside of as a ghost for Locke at some point.

On the Lost DVD box set there's an epilogue (it's also on Youtube which is where I saw it) that actually shows Walt and Benjamin Linus talking. Walt is in a mental institution and Linus is trying to convince Walt to come back to the island. There's a whole bunch of other shyt to get into to explain all that but I won't right now at least because I'm about to be out and I feel like a fukkin nerd explainin all this other stuff in depth all ready.

Needless to say this show is top 5 for me easy. I could talk about this shyt all day.

I was never as cut up about the finale (with all of them being in some form of purgatory) or the questions that were never answered as much as some ppl.I mean fanboys were seething over the origins or smoke monster :what: or the fact mikali's immortality was never explained :wtf:.

Sometimes when you agree to watch a show in the fantasy genre you got to just let things slide like that or make up your own conclusions.Like the island wouldnt let him die because his work wasnt done.My biggest gripe was the uneven airtime distributed (esp to minority characters) And the micheal/walt conclusion. That shyt just didnt leave a good taste in my mouth, something about just seemed vindictive..

Ben was a dope character but they drew from that well once too often & then in the final season when the gods were playing chess it was like :wtf:.They built him for years as the "man" then suddenly they are like "nah he was a nobody all along these are the real puppetmasters"

By far one of the most disappointing shows I've ever witnessed. I didn't even have much of problem with Season 6 but knowing now the writers had NO IDEA where they were going with it, I have zero desire to rewatch this.

Heard the pay off to the series was wack. I could catch it on netflix but I don't feel like I have the energy.

Understand why a lot of people didnt like season 6 or the ending, but it worked for me. Just started watching it from the beginning again and its still probably top 5 all time for me. The only part of the series that was :what: to me was when they were randomly time traveleing 3 times an episode in season 5. That shyt was dumb. And they really needed to explain Walts powers or whatever. I get that the kid hit puberty and looked 10 one season and 29 the next but figure out a smart way to finish his story.

Lost and mass effect had great potential to be goats (story wise) but the writers wrote too many checks that they asses could not cash. SCUST at season 6:gag::gag::gag: after all those years of piff they gave us and end it with that shyt.

THe first 2 seasons were legendary, but you could already sense by the end of season 3 that they were just having fun out there :smugfavre:

They improvised as they went along, and it failed.
