Mad Men one of the GOAT showsthats understandable breh. its one of the toughest shows to get into, like i said it took me years myself but when i started watching it became too addictive. im about to try the same with suits, hope it delivers.
Nah, the shyt was added late. Weiner said AMC asked him to come up with some kind of mystery for the show, so he came up with that.It relied on the mystery of Don's past for the first few seasons. But once that was put to bed, they still had a few more great seasons after that. That's an underrated feat, cuz I'm sure that was central piece in the creation and development of the show.
Wayne We said to Matt, "OK, this is a great show about advertising, but what are people going to talk about week in, week out? What's the bigger story for Don?" He went off, and a few months later he came back and pitched the entire dikk Whitman/Don Draper story. We were mesmerized.
Weiner So I told [AMC] I had this 85-page screenplay that was Don Draper's backstory. It was called The Horseshoe, and I abandoned it five years before I wrote Mad Men. The last scene is this character taking Don's name and leaving his [dead] body at a train station.
I know. Thanks for reminding me.
I always took the ending as don being don and taking the pain/story of that guy in the group session and creating a great worldwide coca cola campaign. This is a good show but the ending def had me bonfused
