Yall need to get up on this.

Oh and here's something cool I noticed...."Luther" takes place in the same universe as "The Wire". The character John Munch first appeared on "Homicide: Life on the Street" by David Simon....the character later popped up in season 5 of "The Wire"....in season 1 ep 5 of "Luther" John Munch is mentioned as the American contact for the British SCU.

"Arrested Development" and "X-Files" also take place in the same universe as "Luther" and "The Wire". John Munch appeared on those shows too. :mindblown:

Luther is that shyt.

Can't believed they let Elba go to get Tyler Perry in Alex Cross.

Season 2 had one of my favorite episodes.

Dude going ham with the hammer. Walking down the street going into random people's car smashing the fukk out of people :turk:

Yeah, it's a dope show. Short and to the point.

Shouldn't take you long to finish Series 2

what is it about? might check this just off the fred recommendation and elba starring.

Luther (Idris) is a detective who investigates the most complicated serial killer cases. The show is fast paced and pretty disturbing with the killings at times.

shyt is piff though.

It's on Netflix as well

Idris Elba is Detective John Luther in the Serious Crimes Unit in London, England. The show is kinda like a darker more violent version of Sherlock Holmes.

Each episode has a creepy serial killer or villain he has to stop. One ep had a guy that killed girls, drained their blood, then froze it. The next time he murdered he'd write weird shyt all over the walls in the previous victim's blood. All the villains are really weird and have creepy traits.

There is also a character that has a relationship with Luther that kinda reminds me of the Joker and Batman. Or Clarice and Hannibal Lecter. I won't say who this character is but they're a sociopath, and would definitely fall into the "villain" category, but most of the people Luther faces are worse so he's kinda like :yeshrug: and accepts the character's help.

Anyway, great show. And the last 2 eps of season 1 in particular are :whoo:

Luther is my favorite series right now. Wish the seasons were longer (4 eps is too damn short), but I can't wait for season 3. They'll also be making a movie out of it sometime down the line.

If you're a fan of Idris or of damn good acting and story telling, you should check it out. Wouldn't be disappointed.

How am I late if the vast majority of this board ain't checking for it? The show has never been as popular here as any of the other shows we discuss. I'm saying it should be. :yeshrug:
