There really needs to be an ongoing grits/grits+ thread on here. With grits and cous cous as staples, I don't see how nikkas are not eating elevated every day. Regardless of they standing in life.
Yeah but at the same time I been to states that didn't even have grits.
My pops from Brooklyn he said they was more on oatmeal.

I'm from PA but got a grip of NY folks. I used to mess with oatmeal heavy especially because you can do em overnight.

I might actually go back to that because oatmeal is kinda underrated but it's better sweet IMHO. I can make sweet OR savory grits, so I lean that way.

Have y'all ever made smothered japanese/American sweet potatoes? I started to try last night but didn't want to take the chances. I'm thinking olive oil and a drop of butter in a pan with whatever spices I want. Not fry em, more like sautee
