Maybe OP will get his brains blown out or shot and paralyzed for life. Not saying it will happen. But it's a possibility. :ehh:

I think you should try and get on the front lines of any action possible.:ehh:

Military will take you for sure. Your health better be in good condition or you will fail MEPS.

My question is, are you sure that is what you want to go into? It's a four year commitment and you can't turn around and say "I quit"

I would take the time to look at all options before the military, I can understand your current frustrations but don't act on anything until you have a clearer goal in mind.

Life ain't over just yet.
For real. A dishonorable discharge is pretty much a felony and bye-bye to any government job.

well to anyone else that is having a similar experience/high schooler that is going to college next fall that is just browsing remember ACADEMIC BANKRUPTCY/ACADEMIC RENEWAL.

A bad/poor showing during your time is not a death sentence for your college dreams. take some time away, find what you really want to do and get back at it with more focus and determination.

Was on academic probation, had to get my gpa above a 2.0 by the end of this semester or they were going to kick me out for 1.5 years. Due to some crap that happened I ended up missing 3 weeks of class which caused me to fail my final exam. Barring a miracle my overall gpa is going to be at about 1.85 at the end of this semester.

Time to join the Marines, if they'll take me.

You gotta go to your advisor/dept head and plead like your life depends on it, which it kinda does. You gotta use every excuse in your arsenal
