Was on academic probation, had to get my gpa above a 2.0 by the end of this semester or they were going to kick me out for 1.5 years. Due to some crap that happened I ended up missing 3 weeks of class which caused me to fail my final exam. Barring a miracle my overall gpa is going to be at about 1.85 at the end of this semester.

Time to join the Marines, if they'll take me.

Military will take you for sure. Your health better be in good condition or you will fail MEPS.

My question is, are you sure that is what you want to go into? It's a four year commitment and you can't turn around and say "I quit"

I would take the time to look at all options before the military, I can understand your current frustrations but don't act on anything until you have a clearer goal in mind.

Life ain't over just yet.

Or stick with it...

I failed out of a pretty good university just cuz I didn't take it serious enough. Ended up going to comm. college the next month and getting my mind right. Graduated from another university a few years later.

Saying all that just to tell you not to give up (if you feel you can still do college)

Military not a bad option though...just remember the election is coming up

look up Academic Bankruptcy at your university. it will basically give you a clean slate. you'll be a freshman again. GPA back to 0.0, they may still show that you took the classes but it wont show the grade and it will be like it never happened.

wait a few years, work, pay for a few classes at community college(you will likely have to appeal to get your financial aid back so doing this will show them you're serious. just take a couple classes nothing major, unless you want too). mature as a person and student.

apply for Academic Bankruptcy and start over. Im pretty sure universities that offer this only allow you one shot at it tho so make the most of it.

@Don Draper
If you are smart enough to get into chemical engineering and get into your junior year then surely you are capable of branching into a different field.
You post on the coli, maybe try Comp Sci?
Or go straight to certs?
You are obviously intelligent, just lack discipline/maturity. I'm not trying to shyt on you, I'm making an assumption based on what I know so far.
I'd say give school another shot, but you need to throw all your distractions and vices that are detrimental to your success to the bushes: videogames (Includes TV)
Alcohol (Especially this one)
Drugs (Weed will kill your momentum, idc what anyone says)
Just think that you have to give these vices up and suffer for four years in order to ascend to godhood.
You a coil breh, so you are obligated to do well.
6 certs 6 figures 6 series 6 pawgs
Keep that in mind constantly
