I've rolled my right ankle just from running. Once, when I took a stride, my ankle rolled and almost all my body weight was on my rolled ankle. I almost crashed while jogging. I've rolled my ankle while walking and I almost fall over, it's that bad now. A little rock on the ground can roll my foot over. People look at me like, "Are you okay?"
I had to take time off from jogging and weight lifting until the swelling went down. Then, I got an ankle brace when I got back into jogging. Then, it gets stronger where I can jog without the ankle brace. It just takes time.
