So Sham where do you rank The Blueprint among the rest of Jay's catalog??

Good question K Man. It's def a top 3 Jay album. It's very tricky ranking this album because Jay has a lot of great albums.

I got American Gangster and Blueprint 3 as my fav Jay Z albums. Blueprint is somewhere between these albums.

:leon: over reasonable doubt

Yea, lol I know reasonable is the classic jay album but I don't really listen it that much. Also nobody was really calling reasonable doubt classic until jay started saying it. LoL.

I'll probably have to re listen to reasonable doubt and re evaluate. It's kind of difficult ranking jay albums because dude is supremely talented. I even like and listen to Kingdom Come more than Reasonable believe it or not.

Yea, I can dig it. I was just about to say that Hard knock life was the album that really launched him into Superstar status. Despite its commercial appeal there are hot joints on that shyt.

BP3 got lots of hate indeed. I like it because it was a feel good Jay joint and diversity, experimentation. Sounded very live to me but I don't listen to all of it just a handful of the standout tracks.

This shyt is kind of remarkable. Waiting 11 years to listen to a classic album. shyt had to be :mindblown: for you, especially when the last shyt you heard from Jay were probably BP3 and WTT. You had to be like :wtf: to hear him spitting like that in 2012. Jay said, "Roc-family first we never change, bank." :damn: And if I'm correct, you're not some young nikka, you're what the coli calls :flabbynsick:. I'm trying to remember if I've had this experience with a classic album. Closest probably has to be listening to shyt that came out when I was a kid: ATCQ's Midnight Marauders & The Low End Theory and Cube's Death Certificate & America's Most Wanted. But I was a little nikka when those came out. This shyt cray. Makes my want to listen to some classic for the first time.
