Just came back from Black Panther, people were crying at the end of the movie

Almost positive Marvel universe(mutants vs regular people)was a high jacked version of the actual black struggle.

These fools decide to put out a black panther movie in February and I'm supposed to act like I done found the lost ghost of the black panther party?

Gone take more than that brehs. Salute to the black actors that came up butto these billion dollar white owned companies putting a battery in my back.

I'm literally beside myself. Seriously, all it took was a Disney movie? Brehs finally gonna start their own black businesses and marry black now? Or are they just pretending for show? Time will tell. What a time to be alive.

I doubt anything of substance will come from this because as black people in this country, our story is much more of a movie then this movie, and if what you see everyday, and heard from your elders isn't enough, nothing will be.

the acting was incredible
the storyline was well written

the underlying message was like a letter from AA's to africans....

In the 70's, the reason why problack grew so much, people giving their kids name other then John, and everyone was calling each other brother & sister was because of the black exploitation films, and the music. Right after that stopped, and the 80's came around it was about the curls, and lightskin, all because of the movies, and music artists who were popping. The people who fell into the pro black in the 70's were faking, and didn't understand what the fight was really about, then when the 80's came they got caught up in the bullshyt that came our way. This is why we associated kids with names like melquan or shakeema with the hood, a lot of the fake problacks fell victim to the bullshyt.

Those were numerous movies that did that, so i doubt one movie that is based on fantasy is gonna have that strong of an impact for us to change for the better
