I've seen some documentaries about cases in the U.S where police + prosecution + jury make as dumb or even dumber mistakes than the ones showed in this movie. I'm legit curious why some of you reject the premise of a case being handled as badly as this one just because the prosecution needed it for political gain?
The movie in itself is pretty good but I felt it was too focused on telling us the guy wasn't guilty and that Nicholas Hault did the hit & run. People dismissing that theory or down right now caring about it would've hit much more if we were shown how much of a piece of shyt the accused was as part of that gang and how the politics of Connie Britton's characters played a big part on this as well. A couple of 30 seconds scenes with her campaigning didn't get the job done.
Agreed on the jurors being too much of a caricature. You can tell Clint wanted to say something with as little effort as possible
