I'm in my backyard trying to jump rope. Emphasis on TRYING.

:mjtf:

I'm out here at night so nobody sees me embarrassing myself and let me tell you that was the smartest decision I've made throughout this entire process so far.

How the hell im supposed to clear the rope brehs?

:mjtf:

This is my first time jump roping since I was a teen or maybe younger than that.

It gets easier from here :yeshrug:

I was in the same boat when I first picked up boxing. Focus on your breathing and let you mind drift away a bit. At least that worked for me. One day it just clicked and next thing you know I was :stylin:
It took some work tho. To the point where normally I'd run on the days I didn't go to the gym I would jump rope instead just to get the rhythm down pat.

My issue was that I'd be thinking about all the boxers I'd watch over the years doing all the fancy footwork, not thinking about the years they spent working on it. There's a difference between jumping rope and skipping. Once you get the basics down, everything else will come to you.
