We must think vertically, not horizontally as Dr. Claude Anderson has stated.

The issue is a majority...do not think vertically...only a minority...

The paradigm must shift if actual progress wants to be made...

Unfortunately, this is a Boer trying to shyt on Malema. But Malema tells no lies in his speech. So the speech is timestamped to skip past the foolishness.

As a South African and someone who's very familiar with white supremacy on a global scale i hate to break this to you brehs but Julius Malema is NOT and has never been no revolutionary.

Malema rose to prominence as an outspoken leader of the ANC Youth branch(mid 2000s), he was Instrumental in plotting against another white supremacist puppets President Thabo Mbeki(Mr Arms Deal) getting recalled from presidency and putting Jacob Zuma in "power". Once Zuma got into office he distanced himself from his "bulldog" Malema and eventually they expelled Malema from the ANC completely and he went to form the EFF.

The over the top "Black Power" unapologetic rhetoric he's been spewing for more than a decade now. EFF used shock value tactics to attract the youth and those frustrated by the white supremacist puppets in the ANC.

Julius Malema is and has always been yet another political opportunist who once in power would not fundamentally change the neo colonial set up of South Africa's economy. EFF doesn't even have a military wing.

People who think Malema is an African Malcolm X are probably the same people who think an agent like Farrakhan is some type of great leader.

This is not a criticism of Malema per se, but rather a caution of all black people to not be easily swayed by speeches and personnas.

Malema is Pedi, i went to college with a Pedi guy Thulo in 2010 that used to give me the scoop on all the fukkerry Malema and co were doing way back then in their home province of Polokwane.

If you're looking for real revolutionary leaders in South Africa Chris Hani, Robert Sobukwe etc were either exhiled or Killed. SA is a complete white owned country, from the natural resources to the minds of our people.

I will not be arguing with anyone over this coz I've been following these cats since 2005/6 when i was a teenager. I know their rhetoric all too well.
Every time Tariq Nasheed shouts out Malema me and my girl just burst out laughing.
Reading some of the comments here is just crazy. Someone said he's the "GOAT of the 21st century"...yeses!!

I have a gang of books, interviews and documentaries for anyone that's genuinely interested in learning what really goes on in South Africa.

My all time go-to documentary that gives a thorough breakdown of what's going here was done by a British/Australian cracker John Pilger in 1998, he even interviewed Mr Forgiveness himself Mandela.
Nothing happening in this documentary has changed, if anything it has become more refined.

They've been taking it down from YouTube for mamy yearse, the original one used to have hundreds of thousands of views and very insightful comments.

will a united states of africa truly benefit ALL of africa?
don't completely agree with the united states of africa plan due to my fear that certain parts of africa will get prioritized and others neglected
small african countries will get screwed over something fierce.

i've just completely lost my trust in african leaders.

No, it wouldn’t benefit Africans. Africa is an incredibly large continent with different ethnic groups, religions, histories, levels of development and cultures. You can’t just slap them all together and expect it to work because of the sheer amount of resources. The resource curse is real, I do believe African nations need to strengthen economic ties with each other and (slightly) open up borders to one another. ECOWAS and the African Union need to find ways to improve political and economic ties, hold each other accountable and support more vulnerable states. However, I’m against a United States of Africa. Idealistic and sounds nice in theory but impractical in real life. Can you imagine one person having all that power? The last person that actively pursued this (Gadaffi) was a tyrant who funded many civil wars in Africa in the 80s/90s just to gain more power.

The top job of being the head of state of a united African states is likely to attract similar psychopaths. They’d probably be more wars as others try and jockey for the top spot. Not to mention the religious issues and cultural differences. Economic chaos too, as various African countries are at different levels of development so a shared currency could bring more problems if not implemented correctly.

I don't want to you argue with you, so please don't take it that way, I'm just curious to learn your analysis. What do you make of his land reform proposal? Do you think he is being opportunistic and only talking about those plans to grab votes? Or is there a sincere desire on his part to redistribute farmland to the South African poor?

Also, do you think it's possible for a politician, and I'm not talking about Malema here, just anybody in general - do you think it's possible for someone to be ambitious and opportunistic but still have a sincere desire to implement progressive policies for the people's sake?

:ohhh:
So many political conmen in Africa it seems. All rhetoric no methodology. All true African heroes are just a fading memory, while questionable ones take their place. We are doomed if this trend that has been on since the 60s continues.

Interesting perspective.

I know a lot of people from SA and Botswana, for whatever reason a ton of ppl from Botswana attended my college when their government was sponsoring students abroad and by proxy I've ended up meeting a lot of south africans in the NY/PA/DC area. Many people I know from those two countries have basically described the situation like you have. They don't seem that excited by dude at all.
