I think self righteous people just want artists to be phony with their drug use.And if they do make songs about drugs limit it to liquor and weed. Like you mentioned artists been using drugs but as long as it's not in the open they don't have a problem with it I guess or something. And artists would make songs about drugs back in the day but most the time it's not as explicit. Brown Sugar by D'Angelo for example is about marijuana but most people think it's about a girl.

"I get high off your love, want some of that brown sugar."
I don't understand how people can't comprehend that most artists compose music out of self-reflection.
Damn near every genre talks about drug use and other evils; rap is just straight forward with it and the public audience has a small IQ for analyzing music given to them.

Future the only pill popping rapper to stand the test of time...... Well probably because he just raps about it. :mjlol:

Future: "Rap about popping pills and actually pop pills brehs"

Rick Ross and Wayne both had bad seizures likely related to drug/lean use.

They survived, hopefully they are living better.

And yeah Future said awhile back he wasnt gonna confirm or deny whether he really uses all the drugs he raps about. When he said that I knew he was full of it

My point is, it makes no difference, because opioid use was common whether it was mentioned or not.
And that's actually sad when you think about it. Trying to put the blame of drug abuse mainly on rappers and entertainers. It's like an easy out. If you banned and censor all the artists making drug related music you would still have people abusing drugs regardless. No one ever talks about over prescription of opioids or big pharma. Like where does that fit into all this commotion and faux outrage.

I talked about this with my woman today and she was on that ‘drugs are a problem everywhere’ shyt

I was trying to tell her no mainstream rappers were talking bout being dope fiends before the late 00’s.

That’s why its a hip hop problem, this shyt didnt used to be cool

No one should be shocked by this

Flying private is one of the best ways to move shyt fast

And all these rappers move packs.

I can make of list of rappers and r&b dudes that I know who moved packs, and nikkas would be shocked

Once you start moving around and meeting people out west, getting access to the fruit is so easy. So even dudes who ain't into it, see the opportunity and jump on it.

this is 100% facts. A massive portion of successful people will start hustling AFTER getting rich, white businessmen and rappers alike. their PRIDE becomes so overblown that they cant even stand the idea of letting the government tax them.

70lbs is actually a really low quantity.

I think it was a mixture of private use and having that pack for your peers.
