Juice (Know The Ledge) might be the greatest hip hop song ever.

Breh, you just literally named like all his singles besides the one we're speaking on. :mjlol:

You really feel like all those records are better than Juice (Know the Ledge), or you just want to be argumentative?

:what:it's a good song in all, but nowhere near the GOAT status
i was just expressing its not even Ra best song - so, why would you think i wanna be argumentative

:prodigylol:
I need more than one song breh.
Besides - my go to song that encapsulates an entire career is always gonna be The Product by Cube.

You don't think he's dismissive of hip hop?

Nah, I think he's just always had this preconceived notion of age in hip hop.

He spoke a couple times on being an old man in hip hop in his rhymes.

He's just never wanted to be the old man in the club.

It's understandable, but I do wish he would get over that shyt and bless us.

Has nothing to do with the work he put in though.

He's a top 10 talent easily without question IMO.

Pump your breaks son... both albums did better than his last with eric b. When was rakim not 5% as an mc?

Breh, Eric B. was just the money man with connections early on.

He didn't find any samples, didn't scratch on any records, didn't program any beats.

Eric B. & Rakim was always really just Rakim.

Dude even played the instruments that he sampled himself on a lot of the records.

I will always give credit to Eric for finding Ra and presenting him to the masses though.

Again that's because motherfukkers thought they were getting paid in full, eric b for president, i aint no joke rakim

Not this WJJZ ass motherfukker

He wasn't talking all that godbody shyt on paid in full or don't sweat the technique like that, maybe one or two lines about that 5 percenter shyt

They thought they were getting paid in full rakim in 1997? Would that even make sense?

Nah - I'm just a little salty about how he talks about hip hop. And that we never got a real solo.
He's a GOAT though. Still wouldn't put him up there with the other names.
Guess who I would replace him with? :prodigylol2:

In the GOAT conversation

Prodigy >>>>>>>>>>>>> Andre 3000 easily
