Yankees aren't built to win 1-0 games and they've won FOUR games where they didn't hit a HR. We're not a good matchup for the Indians in terms of their power pitchers.

CC could pitch his heart out tomorrow but if the Yankee bats don't get going, they'd lose with Cy Young on the mound.

I agree with that. So who gives a damn if Tanaka gave up 4 runs tonight or Gray or CC? I would have taken my chances of Tanaka stepping up and pitching solid before relying on Gray throwing a gem. No matter who's pitching we need to hit near our 5 run avg.

There's a reason why he was available to everyone at 11:58 on August 31, and he's only there because everyone on the team is like "everyone else is making moves and we're not?" Great 2nd half pitcher don't get me wrong, and had they gotten him, depending on what they traded, fine, but if he starts off the year next year the way he did this year you woulda lamented that too.

I didn't care whether they got either pitcher anyway. I wanted them to bring up Chance Adams.
The reason was his contract. There's a lot of dumb GM's out there. It's the same reason why Gray was considered the top available pitcher at the deadline.

Now answer me this: Do you trust Gray going into his next start, much less the next two seasons?

I don't trust Gray any more or less than any other guy right now on the staff. CC tomorrow night might give us the best start anyone on the staff can give and they'll likely still lose because we can't figure out Cleveland's starters. The Indians are heavy favorites for a reason. They're beating us; we're not beating ourselves.

Jaime Garcia of all people is putting in better work than our starters.
