I tried to gather as much info as I could concerning the legal reasonings behind the stand your ground laws when the case was first breaking, and while they are extremely liberal in language, and obviously beneficial to the activities of GZ on that day, that audio expert could sink him, and I suspect its the reason why the DA pursued a second degree charge.

SYG laws can be used as a defense even in GZ's pursuit of Martin, but what the law is clear on is that if a party introduces a weapon in a physical confrontation, he or she must attempt to disengage from the fight if he establishes the upper hand. This is where the audio expert comes in. 911 calls from the complex where the fight occurred, documented the last few seconds of the fight, and trayvon's life, before the one and only fatal shot was fired. More than one audio expert was clear that it was Martin who let out a scream or yelp, before the shot. This supports that GZ had the upper hand, and brandished the weapon, thus it was his legal responsibility to attempt to disengage. You combine that with GZ's other reckless behaviors, and a 2nd degree narrative emerges, and is highly provable.

I totally get what you're saying but without visual how would the judge know Zimmerman had the upper hand in the fight, especially with the photos of Zimmerman injuries taken by the police. Also without witnesses, this is a complicated case. I think GZ will get off but held civilly responsible.

The exact details of the call escape me, but its contents are evidentiary material that works against GZ in a potentially significant manner. How that evidence will be argued, and what it will be used in conjunction with are still to be determined.

That's why I say, Martin's attorney in my opinion has done a poor job of arguing their case. But maybe they're do a better job in court. Now GZ reps are trying to paint Martin as thug and menace to society, which has back fired hard against them. I don't care if he was a child molestor, you still have to let the police do their job. This case is going to be a circus.

I work with children just like Trayvon used to be. They warn me not to come into their neighborhood because they will kill me. I heed that warning. I give them the same warning. I don't belong in their neighborhood and they don't belong in mine. If I see them I will assume its trouble.

Martin attorney is not the one that will be in the court room breh. It's George Zimmerman vs. The State of Florida on the charge of second degree murder. This is not a civil case where both parties have their own lawyers to represent them. Zimmerman lawyers will be going up against the State DA and prosecutors.
