Like other posters said, this is merely to rally up the people to support a war against Iran. The problem with that though is the majority of the American people are not as ignorant to the country Iran as they were to Iraq. First of all, there is millions of Iranians that live in U.S.A. so the protests will definitely be big enough to cause a change in policies. Also, President Ahmadinejad has been very persistent in persuading China and Russia to prevent any more sanctions etc.
This will definitely be a more costly and dangerous war, if it happens. Not only will it fuel terrorist organizations to speed up their future plans to destroy important structures all over Europe, but also encourage rival countries in southern Asia to intensify their hatred for neighboring countries.
